On the 18th of April, eleven years ago at 5.45pm a small plane crashed into the twenty-sixth floor of the Pirelli skyscraper, the headquarters of the Lombardy Region. The pilot, Luigi Fasulo, Anna Maria Rapetti and Alessandra Santonocito two lawyers of the Region died on impact .
Luigi Fasulo had taken off from Locarno in Ticino on a Rockwell Commander 112 TC series but he had a problem with the cart, perhaps engaged in solving the problem, he missed route, and instead of going on the circuit, he went to the Pirelli skyscraper.
The aircraft hit the twenty-sixth floor but also devastated the upper and the two lower floors. In addition to the three people who died in the impact, there were about seventy wounded, but the budget, given the scope of the incident, could be higher: when the aircraft hit the Pirelli Tower, the working hours were just finished and there were only 300 of the 1.300 employees.
Today the President of the Regional Council, Raffaele Cattaneo, sent a message to the families of two lawyers: defines them "young women full of life and hope, excellent professional and loyal colleagues."

L’aereo colpì il ventiseiesimo piano ma devastò anche il piano superiore e i due inferiori. Oltre alle tre persone che morirono nell’impatto, ci furono una settantina di feriti, ma il bilancio, vista la portata dell’incidente, avrebbe potuto essere superiore: quando l’aereo colpì il Pirellone, l’orario di lavoro era appena terminato ed erano presenti solo 300 dei 1.300 dipendenti.
Oggi il presidente del Consiglio regionale, Raffaele Cattaneo, ha inviato un messaggio ai familiari delle due avocatese: le ha definite "giovani donne piene di vita e di speranza, professioniste eccellenti, colleghe leali".
