Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning!
First of all, happy Valentine's eveyone!!! I hope you have the chance to spend this day with the person you love :)
After I've offered you some advice on what to give to your partener, now I'm here to tell you about my Valentine's Day!
I think many of us (including me) pretend to be completely indifferent to Valentine’s day. Actually every girl looks forward to a little surprise: it could be just a flower, a dinner together.. It could be a small or big gift from our boyfriend or even a “self-gift.. Let’s be honest…who loves us more than ourselves? ;)
For now, I only had time to taste these "baci perugina" ;)
And how did you start your day? <3
P.S. I'd like to reppresent my Valentine's day with painting "The Kiss" by Francesco Hayez!
xoxo

Buongiorno!
Innanzitutto buon San Valentino a tutti!!!

Museum tickets at half price in Milan

Surprises for Valentine's Day in Milan do not stop!
All couples that tomorrow would like to share their romance in museums will be facilitated: two admittances for the price of one.
It's a gift of the Department of Culture fashion and design in Milan and it invites you to love the heritage of Italy.
So Cupid has also affected the Ministry of Culture promoting the campaign "MiBaci?" (would you kiss me?).
Museums that participate to the initiative are:
- Museo del Novecento in Piazza Duomo
- Palace in Piazza Castello Sforzesco
- Museum of Natural History in Corso Venezia
- Civic Archaeological Museum in Corso Magenta
- Museum of the Risorgimento in via Borgonuovo
But it doesn't end here. For the weekend of 18th and 19th of February another arrow is launched with the campaign "MiBaci ancora?" (would you kiss me again?)
Both of you could visit all national art galleries with a single ticket. The occasion is a must for all those who on Valentine's Day won't put their nose out the door and want to pay passion to the beauty of Italian museums.

*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°

- Palazzo Sforzesco in piazza Castello
- Museo di Storia naturale in corso Venezia
- Civico Museo Archeologico in corso Magenta

Gift ideas for Valentine's Day

Between today and tomorrow, as you can see, my main topic will be the Valentine's Day!
Are you ready to celebrate Valentine's Day?
When the calendar marks the 14th of February women say that they do not believe it, but then criticize their lovers if they adhere to their statements and arrive home empty-handed. To be sure, you have to abolish impersonal gifts and think about one which is a gift which conceals a unique meaning for the couple.
The operation may seem difficult, but with a good idea or a simple greeting card written from the heart, the Prince Charming of the new millennium will be able to impress their lover.
If you are short of ideas, but no budget, opt for a jewel, a piece like bracers Word of Rebecca (the limited edition for Valentine's Day). If not what about the popular C Cruciani that is embellished with a touch of Damiani. Or a bag: with Satchel Bag you go on the right side.
If your blood sugar levels is not enough for the top, try the heart-shaped candies with custom phrases by Swizzels Matlow. For romantics also objects of daily use could take on shapes of hearts: earphones Marc by Marc Jacobs or Moschino gloves.
Instead, for all lovers of technology, Apple allows you to engrave a phrase for free and without lengthening delivery times if you buy online an iPod or an iPad.
Relax for two with the package "Be romantic" proposed by Aspria Harbour Club for all lovers: two hours to spend between saunas, steam baths, thalassotherapy pool and relaxation room, two treatments for couple, Raxul or Candle Massage, accompanied by strawberries and champagne.
If you are short of ideas, but also to budget, remember that a greeting card with a phrase written by you is worth a thousand gifts!!!
Check out the gallery..

The U.S. Consulate: Milan is a dangerous city

Milan, dangerous city: to alert the American in Milan is the U.S. consulate.
Aggressive Milan a crime title from the seventies to the U.S. consulate, which has sent a message to all U.S. citizens in the city. "Attention to the increase in crime especially bag-snatching, thefts in apartments, small robberies sokeep an eye on your wallet inside bars and restaurants. Beware of your own safety" U.S. diplomats warn.
Everything starts from a significant increase in crime in the area around the U.S. consulate where many American citizens live. The note issued is based on data from police and carabinieri. There's an increase of street crimes, such as burglaries and thefts in shops and in supermarkets. In addition, the increase in rapes in the first four months of 2012 was notable.
However, the overall number of crimes in the city respect the last year marks a total of less than 8%, then if you do a comparison with a city like New York, Milan is a quiet provincial town. If we talk about the number of murders, the Big Apple with a population four times than in Milan, has a rate of five murders per hundred thousand residents. In Milan the percentage never exceeded 1%.
Well even if the U.S. Consulate says that Milan is dangerous, I think there are most dangerous cities in Italy and also in Europe. Of course, no matter where we are it is always better to be careful!
So dear tourists, I suggest you come to Milan and see with your own eyes the beauty, monuments, museums, and the bustling Milan! And while you're here why not stop by the shops of fashion triangle! After all, Milan is the capital of fashion in Europe after Paris!
   *°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°**°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*

State attenti la vostra sicurezza personale" avvisano i diplomatici USA.

Chinese new year in Milano

On the 10th February in China began the year of the Snake (from the year of the Dragon to the year of Snake). Last Sunday in Milan, in the famous Chinatown, Via Paolo Sarpi between colors, tradition and culture there was a big parade with hundreds of people in the street.
The Chinese New Year has very special and deeply rooted in popular culture and is considered the most important celebration. The traditional Chinese calendar is lunisolar type, then follows the phases of the moon and the sun to measure the flow of time. The Chinese New Year is also known as the Spring Festival or Chun Jie.
The festival dates back to an ancient legend which is about a monster, Nian, who went out of his hole once every 12 months and ate human  who could defend just making loud noises and wearing the red colourn ( two things he was afraid).
Red and gold are the preferred colors for the creation of lanterns and paper chains.
In the area of Paolo Sarpi, there were not only adults to celebrate, the children were of course the most enthusiastic of all, a lot of them not to miss the show, were back to their dad!

*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*

Whitewashed Milan

Milan wakes whitewashed...
In fact, since the dawn of morning the snow began to fall in Milan. The salt trucks went into action in the early hours of the morning.
But the peak of     precipitation was recorded in the late afternoon.
The Municipality has recommended to prefer public transportation and use the car only when necessary.
At Linate airport the number of flights was reduced by 30%.
Alert for the homeless: about 500 people, including staff and volunteers have been mobilized in aid of the homeless. The Municipality has provided 2500 beds.
It is expected that the snow would stop falling in the night, and the temperatures may drop below zero between Tuesday and Wednesday!
Now here are the pictures of whitewashed Milan :)
