In fact, since the dawn of morning the snow began to fall in Milan. The salt trucks went into action in the early hours of the morning.
But the peak of precipitation was recorded in the late afternoon.
The Municipality has recommended to prefer public transportation and use the car only when necessary.
At Linate airport the number of flights was reduced by 30%.
Alert for the homeless: about 500 people, including staff and volunteers have been mobilized in aid of the homeless. The Municipality has provided 2500 beds.
It is expected that the snow would stop falling in the night, and the temperatures may drop below zero between Tuesday and Wednesday!

Infatti dall'alba di stamattina la neve ha cominciato a cadere su Milano. I mezzi spargisale sono entrati in azione alle prime ore del mattino.
Ma il picco delle precipitazioni si è registrato nel tardo pomeriggio.
Per gli spostamenti, il Comune aveva raccomandato di preferire i mezzi pubblici e di usare l'auto solo in caso di necessità.
All'aeroporto di Linate il numero dei voli è stato ridotto del 30%.
Allerta anche per i senzatetto: circa 500 persone tra operatori e volontari sono state mobilitate in soccorso dei senzatetto. Il Comune ha messo a disposizione 2.500 posti letto.
Si prevede che la neve potrebbe smettere di cadere nella notte, ma fra martedì e mercoledì le temperature potrebbero scendere sotto lo zero!
