DomenicAspasso

Dear readers,
which are your plans for this weekend? I hope that this Sunday you will not have to use the car because, after some postponements, the blocks of traffic return on Sundays.
Blocks are not necessarily due to smog or pollution, but "to enjoy the city."
The first DomenicAspasso is scheduled for the 17th of March. Whenever there is an event at the same time to discover the city. The initiative of the day after tomorrow will be "Festa di primavera" (Spring festival).
Attention: cars and motorcyclesv stop from 10am to 6pm.  There are several exceptions: electric vehicles, emergency vehicles, the cars of car sharing.
In the Milanese just one municipality has joined the block all traffic: Cormano. Others, however, have joined "ideally", with some initiatives.
Taking advantage of zero traffic you can go for a walk with your boyfriend/girlfriend, family or with your beloved puppies, why not? If it is a beautiful day, parents can bring their kids for a ride in bike.Or simply rediscover the beauty of our city! Let me know how you will spend the first DomenicAspasso :)

I forgot to say: free civic museums, swimming pools, service BikeMi, Atm single ticket valid all day on both the city network, both on hinterland transport lines operated by Atm.
This year DomenicAspasso will be eight in total.
- 7th of April (Milano City Marathon)
-12th of May (Global bike day)
- 9 giugno (Schools and children Sunday)
- 14 luglio (Buskers Sunday)
- 8 settembre (European sustainable mobility week)
- 13 ottobre (Second national day of walking + Deejay-Ten)
- 17 novembre (Begining of "We were born for walking" week)

Cari lettori,
- 7 aprile (Milano City Marathon)
-12 maggio (Giornata mondiale della bicicletta)
- 9 giugno (Domenica delle scuole e dei bambini)
- 14 luglio (Domenica dedicata agli artisti strada – busker Sunday)

Bulletproof shopping in Via Montenapoleone

Since a couple of days, in the street of luxury in Milan, Via Montenapoleone, you can find security guards who have to combat theft and pickpocketing.
The famous street known throughout the world and which is popular with tourists comes under the eyes of the thieves.
The association of shopkeepers Via Montenapoleone has reached an agreement with the Group IVRI to ensure monitoring of the road 24 hours a day for 365 days a year.
An additional service to those who have already provided by vigilantes in  shops. The costs of the patrols will be borne by the members of the association.
The brands that are already in relationships with IVRI will have a discount of 15% on the services, in order to lower the cost of patrols on the road.
I really hope that the experiment will be useful to ensure the brands the opportunity to host their own customers in an atmosphere of peace of mind and security during the shopping time!

*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°

Stramilano - The running day

The 24th of March, will be a Sunday with full of emotions. Italy's most famous running event will be held: Stramilano.

The streets of Milan will be invaded by 50,000 people in shorts, ready to face the asphalt path in the classic non-competitive race. As per tradition, everyone will race the 10 kilometers. Then there will be a competitive race (half marathon) and Stramilanina.
In addition to the three competitions there will be many other initiatives. Labeling is essential for entry into the Piazza Duomo. It will begin at 7.30 am and it is important that you present to the control with the "chest" already worn.

At 9 o'clock a cannon will shake the stained glass windows of the cathedral and downtown boutiques to give the official start to the race and the long and colorful snake crowd Corso Vittorio Emanuele, San Babila and Corso Venezia enjoying views of the city maybe crossed a thousand times but never really looked.

The tour then continues to Via XX Settembre, the only edge of a flat and fast course. And then to arrive at the Arena Parco Sempione with a view to marking the coveted arrival.

There is only one rule: 10 km to run in free rhythm and arrive in a maximum of five hours to finish. At this point, the participant will find waiting for him, the medal, the sponsors gadgets, the rich dining and the great party of the Arena is not to be missed!

The participation fee is € 12.00 and the member will receive the bag containing the t-shirt Stramilano. Registration can be done online, by fax, mail or at official points of registration.

For more information, I leave the website: www.stramilano.it

Will any of you participate? Let me know if you win a medal ;)

New Pope: Francesco I, Jorge Mario Bergoglio

Good evening guys.
I'm back!
The news of the day (not only in Italy but all over the world) is the election of the new Pope!
At 7,06pm today, the 13th of Mrach 2013, the smoke is white (
signal that a new pope has been elected). The cardinals have finally found a name! While waiting for the official announcement, many peolpe spoke of the Archbishop of Milan, Cardinal Angelo Scola. Even the hypothesis of international bookmakers gave him unanimously. Wikileaks has also revealed that the Americans wanted the pope from 10 years.
But the new pontiff is Jorge Mario Bergoglio, 76 years old archbishop of Buenos Aires (Argentina) is elected at the fifth ballot. He will be called Francis I.
And he will take the place of emeritus Pope Benedict XVI.

*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*

Buonasera ragazzi.

Uncommon performances of street artists in Milano

Hello everyone!
I
get back on track with some fresh news.
Today we talk about street artists.
Now in almost all the famous cities we can see many people who perform in the streets (of course in the most popular places) attracting the attention of pedestrians.
There are two unusual exhibitiosn which were attended by the Milanese and tourist in the center of Milan.
These street artists performed in Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the performances were definitely amazing (especially the first one).
The first show was represented by a man who read a newspaper while sitting on the toilet.
While the second amazed the audience sitting with one leg over the other layin to a cane and he seemed to sit in the air, evoking spiritual magic and mystery of Indian origin.
Is there a catch? Maybe. But you have to wait to find it out :)
To get the license in the event of temporary occupation of public areas such as streets for performances is easy. To request it you must fill in a form with a stamp duty of €. 14.62 and submit it according to the instructions provided by the website of the Municipality of Milan.

Ciao a tutti!

Inspection of Guardia di Finanza @ Aumai

Good evening guys.
I have a fresh news!!!
Aumai, the well-known lowcost shop owned by the Chinese, in Piazzale Susa in Milan, ended up in the net of controls of the Italian Finance Police in Milan
.
This afternoon around 4.30pm it was targeted by two patrols of Finance Police for the control of products and looking for any irregular employees.
Soon after, a patrol of “Carabinieri” (Police) reached the store. At the end there were about 12-15 public officials.
Surely the inspections of the Finance Police will spread to other stores of the same chain in Lombardy.

Buonasera ragazzi.

Stolen iPhone is found thanks to two girls

Reading about pickpockets and new gems of technology, today I came across this news.

This morning on the trolley bus 91 an Albanian boy was able to pull out an iPhone from a pocket of the jacket of a girl. The bus was full of passengers. Matter of a few seconds and the girl could not find her iPhone.
So she activated the function of geolocation and the stolen iPhone was geolocated in a bar in Piazzale Susa.
They warn the police and the agents  could find it while they were controlling the suspected man of the theft. The criminal was arrested thanks to the girls!
*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°
