Strong rain in Milan - Guastalla

Strong rain of recent days, combined with manholes "exploded", have created an artificial lake in Guastalla, in Milan, between the park and the synagogue.
Motorists and cyclists had to be very careful in passing in this puddle of several inches deep.

Fortissime piogge di questi giorni, unite ai tombini "esplosi", hanno creato un laghetto artificiale in Guastalla, a Milano, tra il parco e la sinagoga.
Automobilisti e ciclisti hanno dovuto prestare molta attenzione nel passare in questa pozzanghera profonda diversi centimetri.

A tree fell on a bus of public transportation - linea 94

Hello guys!
After a brief pause, rather than a week, I am here again to share with you the latest news from Milan!
So let's start with the first news of the day.
A tree, more specifically an elm fell on a bus of public transportation line 94 in via De Amicis, near Sant'Ambrogio, due to bad weather.
It happened around 1,40 pm today, Thursday the 16th of May.
Slowdowns even on lines 50 and 58.
The vehicle was carrying about fifty people, including many students of the University of Cattolica in Milan. Aside from the scare, there were no injuries.
The firefighters, local police and an ambulance as well as agronomists of the city were on the place.
The elm, checked in last October, was not ill result, therefore, the most likely hypothesis of the accident is that the heavy rains of recent weeks have weakened the ground causing the collapse of the plant, but it is not excluded that the work performed periodically on the ground by firms undermined the roots favoring the fall. The elm tree will be replanted in October.

Ciao a tutti!
Dopo una breve pausa, anzi di una settimana, eccomi di nuovo qui a condividere con voi le ultimissime notizie da Milano!
Allora cominciamo con la prima news del giorno.
Un albero, più precisamente un olmo, è caduto su un mezzo di trasporto pubblico della linea 94 in via De Amicis, zona Sant'Ambrogio, a causa del maltempo.
E' accaduto intorno alle 13.40 di oggi, giovedì 16 maggio.
Rallentamenti anche sulle linee 50 e 58. 
Il mezzo aveva a bordo una cinquantina di persone, tra cui molti studenti dell'università Cattolica. A parte lo spavento, non ci sono stati feriti.
Sul posto sono intervenuti i vigili del fuoco, Polizia Locale e un'ambulanza oltre agli agronomi del Comune.
 L’olmo, sottoposto a verifiche lo scorso ottobre, non era risultato malato, pertanto l’ipotesi più probabile dell’incidente è che le abbondanti piogge di queste settimane abbiano reso fragile il terreno causando il cedimento della pianta; ma non è escluso, tuttavia, che i lavori eseguiti periodicamente sul sottosuolo da parte di ditte abbiano indebolito le radici favorendo la caduta. L’olmo sarà ripiantumato a ottobre, prima stagione agronomica utile.

Bomb scare at the University Bicocca in Milan

Hi guys!
This morning, Thursday the 9th of May 2013, there was a bomb scare at the site of the University Bicocca in Milan (area U14). On the spot, about nine o'clock, there were the bomb squad of the police.
But then they discovered that the suspected "package" contained not anything dangerous, but just some cans of soda!

Buongiorno ragazzi!

Stamattina, giovedì 9 maggio 2013, si è verificato un falso allarme bomba nella sede dell'università Bicocca di Milano (zona U14). Sul posto, verso le nove, erano presenti gli artificieri della Polizia. 

Ma poi hanno scoperto che il "pacco" sospetto non conteneva nulla di pericoloso: conteneva alcune lattine di bibite!

Assistant for a day - children learn to work

In elementary school "Stoppani" a initiative "Assistant for a day"!
The children choose their profession among the many provided by professionals, operators and local authorities. And so, after school, they can become bakers, stationers, police etc..
At the top list of professions chosen by the children there are: fireman, florist and ice cream seller.
For children, this initiative represents a different experience from the usual to begin to understand what their inclinations and especially to feel a little bit bigger.
Each child receives his kit that contains a vest, a badge and a card with all relevant information for the first day of work.
The young aspiring firefighters then reach the provincial command of Milan. First, they visited the museum, which is one of the most stocked in Europe. And then visit the operations center, where they also had the possibility to try to help the real firefighters.
The most exciting moment comes when the children have gone on a fire truck and see how a real ladder truck works (32m long). Their visit ends in glory with the hydrant!

Alla scuola elementare Stoppani prende il via l'iniziativa "Assistente per un giorno"!

I bambini scelgono la loro professione tra le tante messe a disposizione da professionisti, esercenti ed enti locali. E così, dopo la scuola, possono diventare pasticceri, cartolai, poliziotti ecc.

Alla top list dei professioni scelti dai bambini ci sono: vigile del fuoco, fioraio e gelataio.

Per i bambini quest'iniziativa rappresenta un'esperienza diversa dal solito per iniziare a capire quali siano le loro inclinazioni e soprattutto per sentirsi un pochettino più grandi.

Ogni bambino riceve il suo kit dall'assistente che contiene un giubbotto, un badge e una scheda con tutte le informazioni utili per il primo giorno di lavoro.

I piccoli aspiranti vigili del fuoco raggiungono poi il comando provinciale di Milano. Come prima cosa hanno visitato il museo dei pompieri, che è uno dei più forniti d'Europa. Per poi visitare la centrale operativa, dove hanno avuto anche la possibilià di provare ad aiutare i veri vigili del fuoco.

Il momento più emozionante arriva quando i bambini sono saliti su un'autopompa e vedere come funziona una vera autoscala (lunga 32m). La loro visita finisce in bellezza con l'idrante!!!

Lamborghini in Milan for its 50th anniversary

350 Lamborghini offer a show in Milan, at the foot of the Castello Sforzesco, it had never been seen in terms of power and magnificence: all colors of the rainbow for a total of 190,000 horsepower, which make turn the head to all those who pass through the square!
Lamborghini becomes "queen" of Milan between Tuesday the 7th  and Wednesday the 8th of  May 2013, with a gathering of cars, from all over the world to celebrate the life of the 50 years of the brand from Bologna. The cars will leave for the "Grand Tour Lamborghini 50th anniversary", to Forte dei Marmi and Rome. On the 10th of May, they are expected to return to Bologna and on the 11th to the factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese.

Manifestazione Università Statale Milano - Rally

Today, Tuesday the 7th of May 2013, around 3.30pm, over a hundred young people came out the Public University (Università Statale di Milano) of via Festa del Perdono in Milan to go in procession to the city center to protest against the evacuation ex-library CUEM.
After reaching the headquarters of Political Science in via Conservatorio (where they hung some banners against police repression), they arrived in Via Larga behind the seat of the University where the procession had started. The traffic in the city center has gone haywire.
Target of the slogans is mostly the police after "heavy punitive action" conducted yesterday afternoon.
Let's step back to understand what happened. More than a year ago, a group of students occupies the premises of the ex-library CUEM. The university evacuates. But they reoccupy. It forms the group "exCuem self-managed". It was decided that the space can be managed by the students as they constitute an association. Enough with illegality. A month ago the announcement but just two groups of university answered, not the occupants. On Saturday, the rector asks his employees, not the police, to empty the place and Sunday sends a team of workers to complete the job.
On Monday morning, the students of the self-managed CUEM have not raised the white flag. In the early afternoon they walked around the halls screaming their anger against the evacuation took place over the weekend. Several people have opened the doors of the classrooms where the lessons were in progress, inviting students to join them.
But then at about 5pm of Monday, there were the police. Carabinieri and Police in riot gear have cleared the lecture room. The activists put across to prevent what was happening. "The police have charged us", reported some students. In the clash four police officers were injured slightly.

Intorno alle 15.30 di oggi, martedì 7 maggio 2013, oltre un centinaio di giovani è uscito dall'Università Statale di via Festa del Perdono a Milano per dirigersi in corteo verso il centro cittadino, per protestare contro lo sgombero dell'ex libreria Cuem.
Dopo aver raggiunto la sede di Scienze politiche in via Conservatorio (dove hanno appeso alcuni striscioni contro la repressione poliziesca), sono arrivati in via Larga alle spalle della sede dell'università Statale di via Festa del perdono da dove il corteo era partito. Il traffico in tutto il centro cittadino è andato in tilt.
Bersaglio degli slogan sono soprattutto le forze dell'ordine dopo "il pesantissimo intervento repressivo" condotto ieri pomeriggio nel chiostro della Statale.
Facciamo un passo indietro per capire cos'è successo. Più di un anno fa, un gruppo di studenti e giovani dei centri sociali occupa i locali dell'ex libreria Cuem. L'università fa sgomberare. Loro rioccupano. Si costituisce il gruppo "exCuem autogestita". Viene deciso che lo spazio può essere gestito dagli studenti purché costituiscano un'associazione. Basta con l'illegalità. Un mese fa il bando, rispondono due gruppi di universitari, non gli occupanti. Sabato scorso, il rettore chiede ai suoi dipendenti, non alla polizia, di svuotare i locali e domenica manda una squadra di operai a completare il lavoro.
Lunedì mattina, i ragazzi dell'Ex Cuem autogestita non hanno alzato bandiera bianca. Nel primissimo pomeriggio hanno girato per i corridoi urlando la loro rabbia contro lo sgombero avvenuto nel fine settimana. Diverse persone hanno aperto le porte delle aule, dove erano in corso le lezioni, invitando gli studenti ad unirsi a loro.
Però poi verso le cinque del pomeriggio di lunedì sono intervenute le forze dell'ordine. Carabinieri e polizia in tenuta antisommossa hanno sgomberato l'aula. Gli attivisti si sono messi di traverso per impedire quanto stava succedendo. "I carabinieri ci hanno caricati", hanno riferito alcuni studenti. Nello scontro sono rimasti feriti lievemente quattro agenti.

Concert Radio Italia Live 2013 in Milan

Good evening to all of you!
Do you remember that a few days ago I wrote about the concert Radio Italia Live 2013 in Milan? (don't worry, you can find the article here).
I'm back here to remind you that on the stage in Piazza Duomo many great guests are expected on Saturday, the 11th of May 2013, for the concert RadioItalia Live.
Starting from 8pm artists like Eros Ramazzotti, Zucchero, Antonello Venditti, Negramaro, Raf, Cesare Cremonini, Alessandra Amoroso, the Stadium, Fabri Fibra, Nek and Marco Mengoni will perform.
All of this will be presented by Luca Bizzarri and Paolo Kessisoglu!
I hope that who will follow it, will have fun :)
