I love lace

After a short break, I finally decided to take some pictures of my looks. So I started two days ago, Easter's day! It is useless to deny that I love unconditionally lace, especially in summer.
But I took advantage of the "warm" Easter day to wear a dress of lace!

Dopo una breve pausa, ho finalmente deciso di scattare qualche foto dei miei look. Ecco qui alcune foto scattate due giorni fa, proprio il giorno di Pasqua!
È inutile negare che amo incondizionatamente il pizzo, soprattutto in estate. Però ho approfittato della giornata "calda" di Pasqua per indossare un abitino di pizzo!

Milano City Marathon 2013

After Stramilano, Milan is ready to welcome another sports event.

Milan City Marathon is the second most important marathon of Milan after Stramilano. The event is scheduled for Sunday 7th of April, for the occasion, the city of Milan has organized DomenicAspasso with total block of the traffic. Offering both athletes and spectators a city without engines and more sustainable living on foot or by bicycle, hoping that the weather forecasts will be good.

It will be a spring festival for citizens and tourists, who can (re)discover and (re)appropriate of streets and squares.

Cars and motorcycles are going to stop from 10am to 6pm throughout the city. Electric cars and those equipped to transport people with disabilities, the cars of car sharing, media service and support for bike sharing, taxis, emergency vehicles etc could move around the city.

Dozens of sporting, cultural, environmental, recreational, educational activities will be promoted by the Municipality. In particular, starting from 10am along the route of the marathon there will be concerts and entertainment on four stages: in Piazza della Repubblica, avenue Elvezia, Piazza Oberdan, Liberty Square.

Access to all civic museums (Sforza Castle, Museo del Novecento (Museum of 900), Archeological Museum, Museum of Risorgimento and Museum of Natural History) will be free.

Dopo la Stramilano il Capoluogo Lombardo è pronto ad accogliere un’evento sportivo.

Milano City Marathon è la maratona di Milano più attesa dopo la Stramilano. L’appuntamento è fissato per domenuca 7 aprile, per l’occasione il comune di Milano ha disposto la DomenicAspasso, con il Blocco del Traffico Totale. Offrendo ad atleti e spettatori una città senza motori e più sostenibile, da vivere a piedi o in bicicletta, nella speranza che le previsioni Meteo siano buone, sarà un evento unico.

Sarà una festa di primavera per milanesi e turisti, che potranno (ri)scoprire e (ri)appropriarsi di vie e piazze. 

Auto e moto ferme dalle 10 alle 18 in tutto il territorio cittadino. Potranno comunque circolare le auto elettriche e quelle munite di contrassegno per persone con disabilità, le auto del car sharing, i mezzi di servizio e assistenza per il bike sharing, i taxi, i veicoli di soccorso, i mezzi di Forze di Polizia, Forze armate, Vigili del Fuoco e Protezione civile, i mezzi riferibili a emergenze sanitarie.

Saranno decine gli eventi sportivi, culturali, ambientali, ricreativi, educativi promossi dal Comune. In particolare, a partire dalle ore 10, lungo il percorso della Maratona ci saranno concerti e momenti di intrattenimento su quattro palchi: in piazza della Repubblica, viale Elvezia, piazza Oberdan, piazza Liberty. 

L'accesso a tutti i musei civici (Castello Sforzesco, Museo del Novecento, Museo Archeologico, Museo del Risorgimento, Museo di Storia naturale) sarà gratuito.

Lisbon - a personal experience

I took in my hand the list of the best European cities in 2013. Today I'm going to talk about Lisbon, the second in the standings. Were you lucky enough to spend a few days in this wonderful city? Maybe some of you are from Lisbon or Portugal... Last summer I spent ten days to discover the wonders of Lisbona and surroundings :)Lisbon is an illuminated city. The almost constant presence of sunshine and the River Tagus transforms the Portuguese capital into a mirror of a thousand colours - highlighting the city’s unique architecture and its beauty.
There are so many places to visit and many activities to do in Lisbon.
I suggest you to discover the city's neighborhoods, Bairro Alto, Baixa until, through Belem and the Chiado: only in these areas you will discover the cultural identity of Lisbon. The Bairro Alto is shaped by the aristocratic families and other creative people, artists, libraries, restaurants, and antique shops. This place is full of young people after the sunset.
The Chiado is full of upscale shops, bookstores and theaters. One of the most famous cafes is the cafe A Brasileira, which is located in Rua Garrett, the street that bisects the elegant Chiado with pastry shops, luxury boutiques and bookstores.
While the Belém district is situated on the banks of the Tagus and its history is closely linked to the maritime discoveries. This area is very rich in colorful gardens and beautiful monuments. Certainly the famous place is the Tower of Belém, built to be the lighthouse and fortress of the port of Restelo.
Then get on the tram 28, make yourself comfortable, lodge the head out of the window and discover Alfama. From my experience I realized that this district of Lisbon must be discover sliding it quickly with your own eyes: only then we can put together all the pieces of the puzzle and understand what really Alfama is. The tram also passes through narrow alleys. We played touching the walls of the buildings like kids (but be careful not to lose your balance!) I loved the chaotic and elusive atmosphere of Alfama, with its clothes hanging from balconies, cars parked in a disorderly manner: all what I saw in this neighborhood had seemed intense and meaningful expression of the word "life."
To move from one area to another, and to fully grasp the beauty of Lisbon at a glance, I always tried to move by tram. The trams of Lisbon are legendary. Even the funicular (three) and the elevators are very characteristic in Lisbon and some of them work for at least 100 years!
But if during the stay the tourist wants to live a quiet moment, then the fantastic city parks, gardens, coffee are the solution. Another thing I noticed is that we can simply enjoy the pure pleasure of being in Lisbon, through its gastronomy, luxury hotels, spas and shopping centers.
I was lucky enough to visit also a few places outside from Lisbon. The neighborhoods of Lisbon are beautiful places and unique. Here the warm Portuguese sun is made pleasant by the gentle Atlantic breeze blowing on the beautiful beaches of the Portuguese coast.
The coast from the western suburbs of Lisbon extends to Cascais is called the Costa del Sol. The most famous of this area is definitely Estoril, a very elegant and refined city. The east is instead Cascais, characterized by an old port and a picturesque pedestrian area. Cascais is also famous for its beaches, particularly Praia da Rainha, a cove surrounded by rocks, and Boca do Inferno, a pit dug into the rock by the sea.
The kingdom of surfers is instead the stretch of coast from Cabo da Roca, the most western point of Europe, to Cabo Carvoeiro, characterized by spectacular cliffs. This is the ideal place for water sports, from surfing to body boarding, but also for diving and underwater fishing.
The day before leaving Lisbon I decided to take the train to Sintra. Sintra is a small town and it is one of the most beautiful places in Portugal. Since 1995 it has written by UNESCO as World Heritage Site! Just before the entrance to Sintra there's a park full of animals of cardboard ... of course we took pictures as children :)
Don't forget that a hundred kilometers from Lisbon, there is the Shrine of Fatima, one of the most important Marian shrines in the world.

Riprendo la lista delle migliori città europee del 2013. Oggi parliamo di Lisbona, la seconda in classifica. Qualcuno di voi a avuto la fortuna di passare qualche giorno in questa meravigliosa città? Magari qualcuno di voi viene proprio da Lisbona e/o Portugallo... L'estate scorsa ho trascorso una decina di giorni a scoprire le meraviglie di Lisbona e dintorni :)
Lisbona è una città illuminata. La presenza quasi costante di sole e il fiume Tago trasforma la capitale portoghese in uno specchio di mille colori, evidenziando l'architettura unica della città e la sua bellezza.
Ci sono tanti posti da visitare e molte attività da fare a Lisbona.
Vi consiglio a scoprire i quartieri della città, dal Bairro Alto, fino alla Baixa, passando per Belem e il Chiado: solo in queste zone potrete scoprire la vera identità culturale di Lisbona. Il Bairro Alto è caratterizzato da una parte le famiglie aristocratiche e dall'altra i creativi, gli artisti squattrinati, le librerie, i ristoranti e gli antiquari. E si contraddistingue per essere il quartiere dei giovani e del divertimento.
Il Chiado è ricco di negozi raffinati, librerie e teatri. Uno dei luoghi di ritrovo più famosi è il caffè A Brasileira, che si trova in Rua Garrett, la strada elegante che taglia in due il Chiado con pasticcerie, negozi di lusso e librerie.
Mentre il quartiere di Belém è situato sulle sponde del Tago e la sua storia è molto legata alle scoperte marittime. Questo quartiere è molto ricco di giardini colorati e di splendidi monumenti. Fra tutti spicca di sicuro la Torre di Belém, realizzata per essere faro e fortezza del porto di Restelo.
Poi salite sul tram 28, mettetevi comodi, sporgete un pò la testolina dai finestrini e scoprite Alfama. Dalla mia esperienza ho capito che questo quartiere di Lisbona bisogna conoscerlo così, facendolo scorrere rapidamente davanti agli occhi: soltanto dopo possiamo mettere insieme tutti i pezzi del puzzle e capire cos'è realmente Alfama. Il tram attraversa anche vicoletti strettissimi. Noi abbiamo giocato a fare i ragazzini toccando i muri dei palazzi (ma attenti a non perdere l'equilibrio!) Mi sono innamorata dell'atmosfera caotica e inafferrabile di Alfama, i suoi panni stesi ai balconi, le auto parcheggiate in modo disordinato: tutto quello che ho visto in questo quartiere mi era sembrato un'espressione intensa e significativa della parola "vita".
Per spostarmi da un quartiere all'altro e per afferrare pienamente tutta la bellezza di Lisbona con un solo sguardo, ho quasi sempre provato a muovermi in tram. I tram di Lisbona sono leggendari. Anche le funicolari (sono tre) e gli ascensori sono molto caratteristici a Lisbona e alcuni funzionano da almeno 100 anni!!!
Ma se durante il soggiorno il turista vuole vivere momenti tranquilli, allora i posti adatti sono i fantastici parchi della città, giardini, caffè. Un'altra cosa che avevo notato è che possiamo semplicemente goderci il puro piacere di essere a Lisbona, attraverso la sua gastronomia, alberghi di lusso, terme e centri commerciali.
Ho avuto la fortuna di visitare anche alcuni posti fuori da Lisbona. I dintorni di Lisbona sono luoghi incantevoli e unici, dove vale la pena programmare una visita. Qui il caldo sole portoghese è reso piacevole dalla dolce brezza atlantica che soffia sulle rinomate spiagge del litorale portoghese.
Il litorale che dalla periferia ovest di Lisbona si estende fino a Cascais è chiamato Costa del Sol. La località più nota di quest’area è sicuramente Estoril, una zona molto raffinata ed elegante denominata. Più a est si trova invece Cascais, contraddistinta da un antico porto e da una pittoresca zona pedonale. Cascais è celebre anche per le sue spiagge, in particolare per Praia da Rainha, una cala attorniata da scogli, e per Boca do Inferno, una voragine scavata dal mare nella roccia.
Il regno dei surfisti è invece il tratto di costa che va da Cabo da Roca, il punto più occidentale d’Europa, a Cabo Carvoeiro, caratterizzato da spettacolari scogliere. Questo è il luogo ideale per tutti gli sport acquatici, dal surf al body boarding, ma anche per immersioni e pesca subacquea.
Penultimo giorno ho deciso di prendere il treno per Sintra. Sintra è una piccola città ed è uno dei più bei posti del Portogallo. Dal 1995 è scritto dall'UNESCO il Patrimonio dell'Umanità! Appena prima dell'ingresso a Sintra c'è un parco pieno di animali di cartapesta...ovviamente ci siamo divertiti come bambini a fare le foto :)
Non dimenticatevi che a un centinaio di kilometri da Lisbona si trova il Santuario di Fatima, uno dei più importanti santuari mariani del mondo.
