Suspected letters to Il Corriere della Sera and Il Giornale newspapers

Monday, the 27th of May, there were delivered two envelopes containing some suspected powder to the headquarters of the newspapers Il Corriere della Sera and Il Giornale.
In the two suspicious letters there waere written the same sentence and the same threats: "Berlusconi senator for life... Berlusconi and Giorgio Napolitano will be murdered. The traitor of the homeland". The all signed by "Armed Group for the Defence of the People".
Immediate safety measures were taken: firefighters and Digos immediately intervened.
In addition, the journalists of the two newspapers had the solidarity of the mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia, "My solidarity to the Corriere della Sera and Il Giornale for what happened today. It was an unacceptable gesture towards the drafting of the two Milanese newspapers. Press freedom must always be defended and intimidating every gesture must be condemned".

Lunedì, 27 maggio, sono state recapitate due buste contenenti polvere sospetta alle sedi dei quotidiani Il Corriere della Sera e Il Giornale.
Nelle due lettere sospette ci sono scritte la stessa frase e le stesse minacce: "Berlusconi senatore a vita... saranno assassinati Berlusconi e Giorgio Napolitano. Il traditore della patria". Il tutto firmato da "Gruppo Armato per la difesa del Popolo".
Immediate le misure di sicurezza: sono subito intervenuti i Vigili del Fuoco e la Digos.
Inoltre, ai giornalisti dei due quotidiani è andata la solidarietà del sindaco di Milano, Giuliano Pisapia: "La mia solidarietà al Corriere della Sera e al Giornale per quanto accaduto oggi. Si è trattato di un gesto inaccettabile nei confronti delle redazione milanesi dei due giornali. La libertà di stampa va sempre difesa e ogni gesto intimidatorio deve essere condannato".

Strike at the airports of Linate and Malpensa - 29th of May 2013

Wednesday, the 29th of May, in Milan Linate and Malpensa airports flights may be delayed or canceled and thus could play up for passengers due to a strike by workers of Sea and Sea Handling, proclaimed by all the unions.
And as you might imagine, the last strike of the employees Sea had caused many bothers to air transport.
Finally I would like to remind passengers to contact their airlines for information on the operation of flights.

Mercoledì 29 maggio a Milano Linate e a Malpensa i voli potranno subire ritardi o cancellazioni e quindi causare non pochi disagi per i passeggeri a causa di uno sciopero dei lavoratori di Sea e Sea Handling, proclamato da tutte le sigle sindacali.

Come ben potrete immaginate l'ultimo sciopero dei dipendenti Sea aveva causato numerosi disagi sul trasporto aereo.

Infine ricordo ai passeggeri di contattare la propria compagnia per ricevere informazioni sull'operatività dei voli.

Bomb scare at Consob in Milan

Hello everyone!
Here in Milan the temperatures have not risen. The temperatures have remained the same to my previous post (by clicking here you can take a look).
Tuesday, the 28th of May there was a bit of chaos at Consob of Milan (National Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange). The reason? An anonymous caller had announced the presence of a bomb.
It has triggered the evacuation of employees (about 150) of the organism as a precaution.
After nearly three hours of careful controls the employees could restart their work.
Luckily it was a false alarm!

Buongiorno a tutti!
Qui a Milano le temperature non sono ancora salite, direi che sono rimaste uguali al mio precedente post (cliccando qui potete dare un'occhiata).
Martedì 28 maggio c'è stato un po' di caos alla Consob di Milano (Commissione nazionale per le società e la Borsa). Il motivo? Una telefonata anonima aveva annunciato la presenza di un ordigno.
Ha fatto scattare l'evacuazione dei dipendenti (circa 150) dell'organismo per precauzione.
Dopo quasi tre ore di controlli accurati i dipendenti sono riusciti a ricominciare il lavoro.
Per fortuna si era trattato di un falso allarme!!!

Easyjet emergency landing

Hi guys!
This morning Milanese people woke up with rain and almost winter temperatures!
I hope at least you're enjoying spring temperatures!
But never mind the time and let's start with the facts...
Yesterday, Thursday the 24th of May 2013, at around 12pm there was an unscheduled landing at the airport of Maplensa.
An airplane of the Easyjet company left from Barcelona and directed to Berlin, had to stop due to the breaking of a window during the flight.
Fortunately none of the passengers was injured!

Ieri, giovedì 23 maggio 2013, intorno alle 12 un atterraggio fuori programma all'aeroporto di Maplensa.

Un aereo della compagnia Easyjet partito da Barcellona e diretto a Berlino, ha dovuto fermarsi a causa della rottura di un finestrino durante il volo.

Per fortuna nessuno dei passeggeri è rimasto ferito!

Flowers to colour the day

Good evening sweeties!
As I already announced, last week was a busy week with an agenda full of things to do. Above all, I had to dedicate a little more time to organize some innovations and I'll let you know soon! Meanwhile I leave you the shots of my yesterday's look.
Fuchsia is one of the colours which immediately makes me feel well and it’s the perfect choice to wear in these rainy and grey days, even if we are almost in the third week of May. I’ve always loved floral prints because they make me think about a romanticism out of the time. I wanted to match the fuchsia of the flowers only with the colour of my lipstick, choosing easy to wear flats, black jacketa and black hat to create a great contrast.

Buonasera dolcezze!

Come vi avevo già preannunciato, l'ultima settimana è stata una settimana intensa con un'agenda piena di cose da fare. Soprattutto ho dovuto dedicare un pò di tempo in più per organizzare delle novità di cui vi parlerò presto! Intanto vi lascio gli scatti del mio look di ieri.

Il fucsia mi mette immediatamente di buon umore ed è perfetto da indossare in queste giornate di grigio e pioggia continua, anche se siamo guà a metà maggio! In più ho sempre adorato le stampe floreali perchè richiamano un romanticismo fuori dal tempo. Ho voluto abbinare il fucsia dei fiori solamente con il colore del mio rossetto, puntando su semplici ballerine, giacca nera e cappello nero per creare un contrasto d’effetto.

According to the commissioner, Luigi Savina, the single emergency number will be activated by July.
So goodbye to 113 and 112 (Italian emergency numbers)!
In this way, by what he said, people can get even closer to the police and the communication should be faster and more efficient.

Strong rain in Milan - Guastalla

Strong rain of recent days, combined with manholes "exploded", have created an artificial lake in Guastalla, in Milan, between the park and the synagogue.
Motorists and cyclists had to be very careful in passing in this puddle of several inches deep.

Fortissime piogge di questi giorni, unite ai tombini "esplosi", hanno creato un laghetto artificiale in Guastalla, a Milano, tra il parco e la sinagoga.
Automobilisti e ciclisti hanno dovuto prestare molta attenzione nel passare in questa pozzanghera profonda diversi centimetri.

A tree fell on a bus of public transportation - linea 94

After a brief pause, rather than a week, I am here again to share with you the latest news from Milan!
So let's start with the first news of the day.
A tree, more specifically an elm fell on a bus of public transportation line 94 in via De Amicis, near Sant'Ambrogio, due to bad weather.
It happened around 1,40 pm today, Thursday the 16th of May.
Slowdowns even on lines 50 and 58.
The vehicle was carrying about fifty people, including many students of the University of Cattolica in Milan. Aside from the scare, there were no injuries.
The firefighters, local police and an ambulance as well as agronomists of the city were on the place.
The elm, checked in last October, was not ill result, therefore, the most likely hypothesis of the accident is that the heavy rains of recent weeks have weakened the ground causing the collapse of the plant, but it is not excluded that the work performed periodically on the ground by firms undermined the roots favoring the fall. The elm tree will be replanted in October.

Ciao a tutti!
Dopo una breve pausa, anzi di una settimana, eccomi di nuovo qui a condividere con voi le ultimissime notizie da Milano!
Allora cominciamo con la prima news del giorno.
Un albero, più precisamente un olmo, è caduto su un mezzo di trasporto pubblico della linea 94 in via De Amicis, zona Sant'Ambrogio, a causa del maltempo.
E' accaduto intorno alle 13.40 di oggi, giovedì 16 maggio.
Rallentamenti anche sulle linee 50 e 58. 
Il mezzo aveva a bordo una cinquantina di persone, tra cui molti studenti dell'università Cattolica. A parte lo spavento, non ci sono stati feriti.
Sul posto sono intervenuti i vigili del fuoco, Polizia Locale e un'ambulanza oltre agli agronomi del Comune.
 L’olmo, sottoposto a verifiche lo scorso ottobre, non era risultato malato, pertanto l’ipotesi più probabile dell’incidente è che le abbondanti piogge di queste settimane abbiano reso fragile il terreno causando il cedimento della pianta; ma non è escluso, tuttavia, che i lavori eseguiti periodicamente sul sottosuolo da parte di ditte abbiano indebolito le radici favorendo la caduta. L’olmo sarà ripiantumato a ottobre, prima stagione agronomica utile.

Bomb scare at the University Bicocca in Milan

Hi guys!
This morning, Thursday the 9th of May 2013, there was a bomb scare at the site of the University Bicocca in Milan (area U14). On the spot, about nine o'clock, there were the bomb squad of the police.
But then they discovered that the suspected "package" contained not anything dangerous, but just some cans of soda!

Stamattina, giovedì 9 maggio 2013, si è verificato un falso allarme bomba nella sede dell'università Bicocca di Milano (zona U14). Sul posto, verso le nove, erano presenti gli artificieri della Polizia. 

Ma poi hanno scoperto che il "pacco" sospetto non conteneva nulla di pericoloso: conteneva alcune lattine di bibite!

Assistant for a day - children learn to work

In elementary school "Stoppani" a initiative "Assistant for a day"!
The children choose their profession among the many provided by professionals, operators and local authorities. And so, after school, they can become bakers, stationers, police etc..
At the top list of professions chosen by the children there are: fireman, florist and ice cream seller.
For children, this initiative represents a different experience from the usual to begin to understand what their inclinations and especially to feel a little bit bigger.
Each child receives his kit that contains a vest, a badge and a card with all relevant information for the first day of work.
The young aspiring firefighters then reach the provincial command of Milan. First, they visited the museum, which is one of the most stocked in Europe. And then visit the operations center, where they also had the possibility to try to help the real firefighters.
The most exciting moment comes when the children have gone on a fire truck and see how a real ladder truck works (32m long). Their visit ends in glory with the hydrant!

Alla scuola elementare Stoppani prende il via l'iniziativa "Assistente per un giorno"!

I bambini scelgono la loro professione tra le tante messe a disposizione da professionisti, esercenti ed enti locali. E così, dopo la scuola, possono diventare pasticceri, cartolai, poliziotti ecc.

Alla top list dei professioni scelti dai bambini ci sono: vigile del fuoco, fioraio e gelataio.

Per i bambini quest'iniziativa rappresenta un'esperienza diversa dal solito per iniziare a capire quali siano le loro inclinazioni e soprattutto per sentirsi un pochettino più grandi.

Ogni bambino riceve il suo kit dall'assistente che contiene un giubbotto, un badge e una scheda con tutte le informazioni utili per il primo giorno di lavoro.

I piccoli aspiranti vigili del fuoco raggiungono poi il comando provinciale di Milano. Come prima cosa hanno visitato il museo dei pompieri, che è uno dei più forniti d'Europa. Per poi visitare la centrale operativa, dove hanno avuto anche la possibilià di provare ad aiutare i veri vigili del fuoco.

Il momento più emozionante arriva quando i bambini sono saliti su un'autopompa e vedere come funziona una vera autoscala (lunga 32m). La loro visita finisce in bellezza con l'idrante!!!
